Ensuring Stable Housing
Stable housing is an essential part of breaking the cycle of poverty. Stable housing creates a sense of safety for children and adults, both physically and mentally. It also allows our neighbors to build relationships and community with each other. When neighbors look out for each other, crime decreases, healthy living increases, and everyone within the community feels secure.
About Shepherd
Shepherd Community Center has served the near Eastside of Indianapolis since 1985 with a simple but staggering mission: to break the cycle of poverty through a Continuum of Care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs of our neighbors.
Shepherd offers wrap-around services to our neighborhood children, youth, families, and seniors from cradle to career and beyond through intentional services, programs, and relationships. Shepherd believes that by focusing on building deeper relationships within our Shepherd neighborhoods, we will create a more stable, healthy community for all ages.
