Poverty takes away a neighbor’s ability to advocate and navigate. Shepherd Community helps families by advocating for them and navigating alongside them to meet their physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs so they can break the cycle of poverty. We work hard to build intentional, personal relationships with our neighbors so we can meet their true needs.

About Shepherd

Shepherd Community Center has served the near Eastside of Indianapolis since 1985 with a simple but staggering mission: to break the cycle of poverty through a Continuum of Care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs of our neighbors.

 

Shepherd offers wrap-around services to our neighborhood children, youth, families, and seniors from cradle to career and beyond through intentional services, programs, and relationships. Shepherd believes that by focusing on building deeper relationships within our Shepherd neighborhoods, we will create a more stable, healthy community for all ages.
