Hello, my name is Susan and this is shepherd Jr. News.

Azul:
Hello, my name is Azul and welcome to shepherd junior news. We are a team of eight journalists that want to share with you some of the behind the scenes activities and people at shepherd community center. Today, we are going to be interviewing various kids like me. Just participate in our summer program here at shepherd December. Maddie take it away.

Maddie:
what school do you go to?

Speaker 6:
Kristen park school 82.

Maddie:
what was the best part of summer camp?

Speaker 6:
Camp challenge, swimming, and, worship. On camp challenge the food is so good. Even the burgers are so juicy.

Maddie:
Okay. What was your least favorite part of camp?

Speaker 6:
Dirt, math and all the boring stuff, except because science is very fun.

Maddie:
Dirt stands for did I read today, just so you guys know.

Azul:
Did you know that 22 different schools participate in our summer program here at shepherd?

Susan:
Did you know that this year’s program had over 220 students?

Azul:
Did you know, in addition to all the fun things we did at shepherd, students were taught math, science, and health, like boring stuff.

Yannis:
Do you know that for over 30 years Sheperd has been doing a summer program for kids in our neighborhood?

Azul:
What was your absolute favorite part of summer.

Speaker 7:
camp challenge and swimming.

Azul:
What is camp challenge?

Speaker 7:
Camp challenge is when you go three days and two nights, and there’s some fun games to play and you go swimming. And that’s all.

Azul:
Sounds fun.

Maddie:
What was your favorite part of summer camp?

Speaker 8:
PE.

Maddie:
Okay what was your least favorite part of summer camp?

Speaker 8:
recess.

Maddie:
What was your favorite part of summer camp?

Speaker 8:
Worship.

Maddie:
Why?

Speaker 8:
I like worship because we get to sing nice songs that I like.

Azul:
What was your favorite part of summer camp?

Speaker 10:
PE.

Azul:
Why?

Speaker 10:
Because we got to play Dodge ball a lot.

Azul:
What was your least favorite part of summer camp.

Speaker 10:
Dirt.

Azul:
Why.

Speaker 10:
you have to write a lot?

Azul:
What was your absolute favorite part of summer camp?

Speaker 11:
Camp challenge.

Azul:
Why did you like camp challenge?

Speaker 11:
Cause you got to do fun stuff and the food was good.

Maddie:
What was your favorite part of the camp?

Speaker 12:
K.A probably it taught me a lot and the farm, the farm was very fun.

Speaker 13:
My favorite part was hanging out with my friends and just going to the pool.

Speaker 14:
My favorite part of summer camp was when [inaudible 00:03:41] everyone was like roundup and hide so that was fun.

Azul:
What was your least favorite part of summer camp?

Speaker 14:
It’s going to be leaving.

Azul:
