Help fund scholarships for at-risk kids
For kids living in poverty, access to a quality education is a critical step toward future stability. When you give toward a scholarship at Shepherd Community Academy, you provide a lasting benefit for our students. Shepherd Community partners with the Institute for Quality Education (IQE) as our Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). An SGO is a state-designated 501(c)(3) that provides financial needs-based scholarships to students enrolled in non- public schools, like the Shepherd Community Academy. And, by giving an SGO, you’ll receive a 50% tax credit toward your Indiana state tax liability and may also qualify for federal tax benefits as well. Individuals and businesses can access the SGO credit, and there is no limit on donation amounts.

When you sponsor a child or college student at Shepherd, you help provide critical resources and supportive relationships that stabilize families and foster academic and social success. Each sponsored child or student and their families receive wrap-around care from Shepherd, with programs and mentoring designed to meet them where they are and help them move from poverty to stability.

Help support a classroom
Shepherd Academy teachers believe that all of our students can succeed. In addition to high academic standards, each teacher provides support and care for the whole child, helping their students to succeed in life as well as in school. Classroom sponsors might donate books or art supplies, make an educational field trip possible, or volunteer regularly in the class individually or as a group. Your sponsorship supports teachers and students in the valuable work of education.
