Madi:
Hello. My name is Madi, and welcome to Shepherd Junior News. We are a team of eight journalists. I want to share with you, our audience, some of the behind the scenes activities at Shepherd community. For our first story, we’ll go to our reporter Yannis, for an interview with one of her favorite teacher Miss [inaudible 00:00:29]. Yannis, to you.
Yannis:
What is your name?
Lydia:
My name is Lydia [inaudible 00:00:34]
Yannis:
Okay. What is your favorite animal?
Lydia:
I really enjoy chickens because they’re just quirky.
Azul:
Did you know, chickens can’t fly very hard very far but they can get airborne enough to make it over a fence?
Suzanne:
Did you know, chickens have full color vision?
Speaker 6:
Did you know, chickens can produce 300 eggs per year?
Azul:
Did you know, it takes 90 pounds of force to crack an egg on its line?
Yannis:
What is your brother’s name?
Lydia:
I have three brothers. Their names are John, Mark and Matthew.
Yannis:
What school did you attend?
Lydia:
Attended Snow Hill.
Yannis:
Where were you born?
Lydia:
I was born in Wabash, Indiana.
Yannis:

Azul:

Miss Renee.
Azul:
Okay, Miss Renee, what do you feel like when you’re at Shepherd?
Renee:
Okay. Can I hold this? [inaudible 00:02:17] When I’m at Shepherd, I feel happy, especially when I’m with the kids. Like you.
Azul:
Thank you. What do you do at Shepherd?
Renee:
What do I do? Well, my role is the Director of Student Ministries, so I oversee all of our elementary, middle school and high school programs. And I oversee our mentoring program and our off-site partnership at IPS School 58.
Azul:
Moving on with a simple question. What is your favorite animal?
Renee:
The walrus.
