Hello, my name’s Azul, and welcome to Shepherd Junior News. We are a team of eight journalists that want to share with you some of the behind-the-scenes activity, and people at Shepherd Junior News. Today, we had a chance to meet some of our board members here at Shepherd Community Center. Let’s find out more. Take it away, guys.

Speaker 5:
What do you love about Shepherd?

Speaker 6:
Well, I like coming here because there’s a lot of people that I have known for a long time. And it’s fun to come and visit with them, and be encouraged by them. And hopefully I encourage them too.

Speaker 5:
How long have you been on the board?

Speaker 6:
You know, I don’t know exactly, but I think it’s over 25 years. I’m the oldest, I’m not the oldest-oldest in age, but I’m the oldest serving. I’ve served the longest of anybody.

Speaker 5:
If you were to be an animal, what would it be?

Speaker 6:
I would want to be a duck. Because ducks can walk, ducks can fly, and ducks can swim. And if there’s a problem, it’s just like water off a duck’s back. They don’t tend to worry about things.

Speaker 5:
What do you love about Shepherd?

Speaker 7:
I love a lot of things about Shepherd. I love what they do with the kids here at Shepherd, and I love how they support the community, and I love what they are able to do for families.

Speaker 5:
How long have you been on the board?

Speaker 7:
Three years.

Speaker 5:
What’s your favorite animal?

Speaker 7:
My favorite animal is a dog.

Speaker 2:
What do you love about Shepherd?

Speaker 8:
I love lots about Shepherd. I love the energy, and the enthusiasm, and the spirit of the Lord as we try to help our neighbors.

Speaker 2:
How long have you been on the board?

Speaker 8:
Just a few months, but I’ve been a donor and a friend of Pastor Jay for over 15 years.

Speaker 2:
What is your favorite animal?

Speaker 8:
My favorite animal is a dog. I love yellow Labrador dogs.

Speaker 2:
I love dogs too. Do you have anything to add?

Speaker 8:
Do I have anything to add? Just that you have a beautiful smile, and I’ve enjoyed our interview.
