Hi. It’s Jay Height here at Shepherd Community. You see behind me cars dropping off kids, picking kids up. You’ll see cars in this parking lot picking up food. And we’re blessed to have lots of folks make it possible for us to continue to support the needs of our families. We’re really excited about a new partnership using this same parking lot to help affect the medical needs of our neighbors. With the Department of Homeland Security for the State of Indiana’s EMS Program, Dr. Michael Kaufmann, the State Board of Health, the Marin County Board of Health, our great friends at Health & Hospital, Matt Gutwein and the new director, Paul Babcock, working with IMS, the medical emergency system here in Indianapolis, the ambulance service, the great heroes who provide, are working with us here to make sure that we’re giving out flu shots every Wednesday in the month of October.

Jay Height:
We’re going to be giving out these free flu shots to our families as they drive through and to other parts of our community. We know what is essential is a face mask, social distancing, and flu shots that we all can do, and we want to make that possible to our neighbors. And so we appreciate this partnership working together to meet the medical needs of our neighbors. You can join with us as we address the road to recovery and helping our neighbors as they move forward in the five different areas. We appreciate your support, and we’re excited that this parking lot is going to be a place where we can change the health of our neighbors with free flu shots. Join us, won’t you?
