This past Friday a fire took the life of a 90-year-old woman and seriously injured her 68-year-old daughter in our neighborhood. This is a family that regularly receives food
delivered to their home by Shepherd volunteers.

This, among many other things, causes us to grieve and reminds of the important work we do on a daily basis. We made a difference and will continue to do so. Although this is a tragedy for this family, we are thankful to know that we can walk alongside them and help as they try to put their lives back together.

We are thankful for everyone who volunteers, gives, and prays for Shepherd. You all make a powerful difference for the families, children, and neighbors we serve.

Today, we are thankful for the important work you help Shepherd accomplish! Thanks for making a difference.
