Giving at Thanksgiving.

Help us continue the tradition of celebrating with our neighbors.

In 1985, Shepherd started when the Westside Church of the Nazarene served a hot Thanksgiving meal at the old Central Church of the Nazarene at 1625 E. Washington Street. That simple meal became the work and ministry of 12 members of that church, and today, 35 years later we call it Shepherd Community Center. Shepherd exists to break the cycle of Poverty in the very neighborhood where that first Thanksgiving meal was served, the near Eastside of Indianapolis.

This year you can help continue the tradition. While we can’t gather in the way we used to, we are sending neighbors home with everything they need to have their own Thanksgiving feast safely at home with their family.

We are thankful to Thrivent this year for doubling the impact of your gift by matching donations up to $35,000!
