Ready to do some spring cleaning?
Shepherd wants to turn your unwanted items of value into hope so our neighborhood children and their families can break the cycle of poverty. You don’t realize how much your stuff can help someone in need.
Donate your unneeded valuables – no matter their condition – for Shepherd to sell and put the money into our Shepherd programming. Best of all? You get a tax deduction for your gift!
Some examples of your valuables that you can donate to help Shepherd:
- Items in your garage: bikes, tools, lawncare, athletics
- Household items: furniture, lamps, artwork, tables, crystal
- Electronics and Technology
- Appliances (large or small)
- Collectibles: coins, toys, dolls, sports memorabilia, cards, books, comics
- Large Items: land, house, vehicle, boat, estates
- Stocks and Bonds
- Legacy Giving (planned giving or will/bequeath)
What does my stuff do? Shepherd will sell your valuable items and use the proceeds to:
- Give students the academic support they need to become first-generation high school graduates and provide the tools they need to be successful in college and career.
- Mentor a child with positive, healthy relationships to believe they can achieve anything.
- Stabilize neighborhood families and build intentional relationships through the Shalom Project.
- Feed our neighborhood with nutritious food every week.
- Instill hope, trust, and self-sufficiency into the lives of our neighbors through a Continuum of Care that meets their physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs.
- Ensure that your passions and finances will make a difference long after you have left this world.
How do I donate my stuff?
1. Drop off your items at Shepherd Community Center (4107 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, 46201):
June 11th & 25th
July 9th & 16th
August 6 & 20th
September 3rd & 17th
October 1st & 15th
2. Call (317) 375-0203 or fill out the form below to make arrangements to have large items picked up or arrange a special drop off.
3. If you want to give a stock, bond, land, estate, become a Legacy Donor, or anything else that cannot be dropped off, fill out the form below or contact Kolton Williford at koltonw@shepherdcommunity.org or call (317)375-0203.
