Give our kids a safe, durable place to play all year!

Help upgrade Shepherd’s playground facilities and give kids a safe, durable place to play all year!

Happy childhood memories are made on the playground. For our neighborhood children, Shepherd Community Center is the safest place where they can just be kids. They run, jump, imagine, and play at Shepherd every day of the week, all year.

But in the neighborhoods where our students and their families live, a safe place to play and be active is few and far between. Neighborhood playgrounds require a long walk and constant adult supervision, which isn’t always possible. Shepherd is where parents can know their children are safe all day. Shepherd’s playground is a place for children to be active, play, and just be kids without fear.

Our playground is so loved and used by our Shepherd kids – from preschool to high school age – every day of the week, all year. Because of that love to play, our playground and basketball court need to upgrade our mulch and patchy, muddy grass areas to a more durable rubberized surface and turf field, keeping our play areas safer and our facilities cleaner.

Our goal to resurface the Shepherd playground and completely turf the open play around it and the Pacers basketball court is $200,000. And we need your help to accomplish this goal!

By all of us coming together, we can help our neighborhood children have a safe, durable place to play all year!
