01 Sep It’s back to school season!

I remember those days. Although, it has been quite a while for me, I still remember the excitement of new school supplies, new clothes, new friends, and a new teacher.

Well, here at Shepherd it is no different. Our students are nervous yet excited by the prospect of a new year.

But we couldn’t do it without such generous support from the community. We greatly appreciate each of you who helped provide the backpacks full of all the school supplies and our friends at Chorus who made sure they each had new shoes. We are blessed to have the best police department, IMPD, serve with us and make it safe for our students and their families to get to and from the Academy and After-School Programs. We are thankful to the parents who trust us with their children. Our great staff and volunteers will make sure this year is full of great experiences and progress.

Education is a critical foundation to moving our children forward, and it truly takes an entire community working together. Together, we can all make a difference in the lives
