Feeding our neighbors more than food

In an economic climate where inflation may be going down, but food prices are ever-increasing, Shepherd has more neighbors needing help than ever before. For our neighbors living in poverty, it’s not just the cost of food. Because it’s not just food; it’s nutrition and fuel to help a student learn, an adult work, a baby grow, and an essential aspect of life.

Food is just one way we attempt to address an immediate need for our neighbors while we help our families grow their capacity to reduce dependency through authentic relationships.

At Shepherd, we’re feeding more than physical hunger.

Food isn’t just a necessity; it builds trust and relationships. Every time Shepherd serves a meal, packs a bag, or delivers a box of food, Shepherd has a chance to help a neighbor feel seen, known, and loved. Shepherd can build an authentic relationship to help our neighbors beyond hunger. It means our neighbors can rely on us. It means our neighbors have access to resources to meet their underlying education, employment, housing, and health needs. Most importantly, we can help our neighbors the cycle of poverty and find lasting hope.

You can help Shepherd feed hungry children, adults, and seniors and meet their physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs. Won’t you join us to feed your hungry neighbors?

Join Shepherd to not simply provide food but to feed our hungry neighbors – physically, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
