Shepherd Store
Help us break the cycle of poverty on the near east side of Indianapolis. All of the items listed in the Shepherd Store are things that we need to run the programs that our students and neighbors benefit from. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

One child

One child
$20 for a month
One child
$900 for a year
Holiday Program and Dinner
$50-75 per family
At Thanksgiving and Christmas we have a special holiday service followed by a delicious holiday meal. This is a small way for us to show God’s love to our neighbors during the holiday season.
Christmas Store
$40 per child
Shepherd Community provides an opportunity for parents to come “shop” for a Christmas toy and necessities like hats, gloves, and undergarments for their children the week before Christmas. This store is available to parents with children from infants to twelve-year-olds. The teens in our program receive a gift card or gift from their youth director.
Health Clinic
$25 per visit
During the winter months, parents and children often experience colds and flu. We offer a free health clinic to those in our neighborhood. The cost to help support our clinic is $25 per patient.
Transportation
$750 per month
Many of our neighbors walk to and from the grocery store, our center, and their place of employment. In the winter the cold hinders their ability to get around. We offer a shuttle to the grocery store to help ease this burden. We also shuttle our students to and from various activities and our after-school programs.
Crisis Intervention
$200 per month
Stress and emotions can be escalated in the winter months and the holidays can be a hopeless time for families, adults, and teens on the near eastside. The use of unconventional heat sources in cold weather can lead to devastating fires. Shepherd Community Center helps with emergency clothing/furniture, an emergency food pantry, and a full-time counselor available during times of crisis.
Shepherd Community Center operates within ECFA guidelines; should we get in-kind donations of item(s) listed here we will move overages into an area of need. We feel this is the best stewardship of the blessings God provides. You will be notified by Shepherd Community if your gift falls into this category.
