Open Door Program
Sometimes something very small has a very BIG JOB.
Shepherd opens its doors each day to hundreds of neighborhood children, teens and parents –delivering food, education and care they would not otherwise receive. While we reach many people, there is still much more we could do. More members of our community need our help, but our ability to expand our services and reach everyone is limited.
We simply need a little help holding the doors open while we reach out to those who need us.
We need a community of “doorstops.”
The cost of keeping the doors open at Shepherd is
$4,100 per day
$4,100 per day
The cost of providing food, programs and care coupled with the daily operating cost of our new facility are limiting our potential growth. Money that could be spent helping another child or family is currently going to pay everyday expenses.
We need concerned and committed people willing to donate $10, $20, or even $50 a month –every month- to create a separate channel of funding to help us meet our day-to-day expenses. These donations will give us the means to focus our efforts and funding on our current programs and increase the number of families we are able to serve.
